Terms of Service

1. The service

Arc Flash Calculator is operated by Paul (sole proprietor, trading as Arc Flash Calculator) ("we", "us") at https://arcflashcalculator.com. By creating an account or making a purchase you accept these terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.

2. Accounts

Provide accurate information when signing up and keep your sign-in links and credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for anything unlawful, to infringe others' rights, to upload content you have no right to use, to probe or disrupt the service or its security controls, or to scrape or reverse-engineer it beyond what the law permits. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

4. Purchases and payment — merchant of record

All purchases are made from Dodo Payments ("Dodo"), our merchant of record. Dodo is the seller of record for every order: it processes your payment, calculates, collects and remits VAT/sales tax where due, and issues your receipt. The charge on your bank or card statement appears under a Dodo descriptor, not Arc Flash Calculator.

Prices are shown at checkout before you pay and may be adjusted for taxes handled by Dodo. Because Dodo is the seller of record, its terms for payment processing apply to the transaction in addition to these terms.

5. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which includes a self-serve refund flow linked from your receipt email.

6. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the service, its design, and its content. You own the content and data you submit. Purchased deliverables are licensed to you for their intended purpose; you may not resell or redistribute the service itself.

7. Availability and changes

We run the service with reasonable care and skill and aim for high availability, but we do not warrant uninterrupted operation. We may change features over time; material degradations to paid functionality are announced in advance.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Except as expressly stated, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction over disputes, except where consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
